1. Who we are
This website is operated by The FMF Group Ltd, trading as Loan Options, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 12111065. Our registered office is Unit 19b Fyfield Business Centre, Fyfield Business & Research Park, Fyfield Road, Ongar, Essex, CM5 0GN. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean The FMF Group Ltd T/A Loan Options, and "you" means the person or business using this website or our service.
The FMF Group Ltd T/A Loan Options is an independent commercial finance brokerage not a lender, as such we can introduce you to a wide range of finance providers depending on your requirements and circumstances. We are not independent financial advisors and so are unable to provide you with independent financial advice. The FMF Group Ltd T/A Loan Options will receive payment(s) in the form of commission from the finance provider if you decide to enter into an agreement with them. We work with both discretionary and non-discretionary commission models. Commission payments are factored into the interest rate you pay.
The FMF Group Ltd T/A Loan Options is an Appointed Representative of AFS Compliance Limited which is Authorised and Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority FRN: 625035. The FMF Group Ltd T/A Loan Options is a Franchisee of Asset Finance Solutions (UK) Ltd. Loan Options is the business loan arm of Full Metal Finance, and the two trade from the same office with the same team.
2. What these terms cover
These terms cover two things:
- Your use of this website, including the cost calculator and the enquiry form.
- Our broking service: what we do when you ask us to find business finance for you, up to the point where a lender offers you a facility.
They do not cover the finance itself. If you go on to borrow, the loan or facility is a contract between your business and the lender, on the lender's own terms. We will make sure you have those terms before you sign, but we are not a party to them.
By using this website or asking us to act for you, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site or the service.
3. Who can use this site and our service
Our service is for businesses, not consumers. To use it you confirm that:
- you are at least 18 years old;
- you are enquiring on behalf of a business, and you have that business's authority to do so;
- the business is incorporated in the UK and based in England or Wales. We do not arrange finance for businesses in Scotland or Northern Ireland, because personal guarantee law and lender coverage differ there. The enquiry form will tell you this before you give us your details;
- the finance is wholly or predominantly for business purposes.
Sole traders and small partnerships may be able to use our service. Some borrowing by sole traders and partnerships of three or fewer people, below about £25,000, is treated as regulated consumer credit and carries extra legal protections. If that applies to you, we will say so before anything is submitted.
4. The calculator and the figures we show
The calculator on our homepage gives you an indicative monthly cost, an indicative rate band, and an estimate of how many lenders on our panel are likely to consider a business like yours. It is there so you can see roughly what borrowing might cost before you give us any details.
You should understand exactly what it is and what it is not:
- It runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to us, and no credit search of any kind is carried out, until you choose to submit the enquiry form.
- The figures come from rate bands we publish on the same page, based on how long the business has traded, its credit history and the amount. They are for UK incorporated businesses only and are subject to credit underwriting.
- They are not a quote, not an offer of credit and not a personal recommendation. A lender may offer more, less, or nothing, once it has assessed your business.
- "From 6.9%" is the lowest rate available across our panel to the strongest profiles, not an average and not a rate most customers will receive.
- Lender counts are our estimate of appetite, not a promise that any particular lender will consider or approve you.
We keep the bands under review and will change them where the market or our panel changes. The date at the top of this page is not the date the bands were last checked; ask us if you want to know.
5. Making an enquiry
When you submit the enquiry form, here is what happens:
- An account director reviews what you have told us, usually within the hour on a working day, and contacts you by phone, email or WhatsApp if you asked for that.
- With your agreement, we may ask lenders for indicative terms. At this stage lenders normally use soft credit searches, which are visible to you but not to other lenders and do not affect your credit score.
- A hard credit search, which does leave a footprint, is only carried out when you ask us to submit a full application to a named lender.
- If we do not think anyone on our panel will fund your business, we will tell you rather than submit applications that mark your file.
Making an enquiry does not oblige you to proceed, and it does not oblige us to. We may decline to act where we cannot help, where we cannot verify who you are, or where we believe acting would breach the law or our regulatory obligations.
6. How we are paid
We do not charge you a broker fee. If you take a facility, the lender pays us a commission, and that commission is factored into the interest rate you pay. The amount varies between lenders and products, and we work with both discretionary and non-discretionary commission models. We will tell you the commission we will receive on your deal before you enter into any agreement, and you can ask us at any point.
Where a lender charges its own arrangement, valuation or legal fees, those are the lender's fees, and we will make sure you have seen them before you sign.
7. Your responsibilities
- Give us information that is accurate and complete, and tell us promptly if anything changes. Lenders make decisions on what you tell us, and inaccurate information can lead to a facility being withdrawn or recalled.
- Only use the website and our service for the business you have authority to represent.
- Do not misuse the website: do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, introduce malicious code, scrape it, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
8. Our responsibilities, and what we do not promise
We will act with reasonable care and skill, treat you fairly, and follow the rules that apply to us as an Appointed Representative. We will not put you in front of a lender we know cannot help.
We do not promise, and cannot promise:
- that any lender will offer you finance;
- a particular rate, amount, term or timescale. Figures on this site are indicative;
- that the website will be available at all times or free of errors. We will fix problems we find as quickly as we reasonably can.
Decisions about whether to lend, and on what terms, are made by lenders, not by us. We are not responsible for a lender's decision, delay or conduct.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. Nothing in these terms removes any protection you have under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 or the rules of the Financial Conduct Authority.
Subject to that, we are not liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business or loss of opportunity arising from your use of this website, from reliance on the indicative figures it shows, or from a lender's decision not to lend, or to lend on terms different from those indicated.
The website and its content are provided "as is". We do not warrant that the content is complete, current or free of error, and we may correct it at any time.
10. Intellectual property
The content of this website, including its text, design, the calculator and our name and logo, is owned by or licensed to The FMF Group Ltd. You may view it and print or save extracts for your own business's use in considering our service. You may not copy, reproduce, republish or exploit it for any other purpose without our written permission.
11. Links to other sites
This website links to a small number of other sites so you can check what we say: the FCA register, Companies House, Trustpilot, the British Business Bank, and the AFS complaints page. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or how they handle your data. Their own terms and privacy notices apply when you visit them.
12. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or withdraw the website or any part of it at any time. We may also update these terms. The date at the top of this page tells you when they last changed, and the version in force is the one published here when you use the site.
13. Complaints
We aim to provide our customers with the highest standards of service. If our service fails to meet your requirements and you would like to report a complaint, please tell us first: ring 01245 373 172 or email hello@loan-options.finance. You can also report a complaint directly through our principal's procedure here: Complaints - AFS.
If your business is a micro-enterprise, small business or charity that meets the eligibility rules, and you are not satisfied with how a complaint is resolved, you may be able to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service. We will tell you whether that applies when we respond to your complaint.
14. Your information
How we collect and use personal data is set out in our privacy statement, and how this site uses cookies and similar technologies is in our cookie policy. Both form part of these terms.
15. General
- These terms, with the privacy statement and cookie policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about your use of the website and our broking service, up to the point a lender makes you an offer.
- If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a term on one occasion, we may still enforce it later.
- You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else without our written consent.
- Nobody other than you and us has any rights under these terms.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
